Family parties & great celebrations of some kind happen every second of every day, the thrill of catering in Worcestershire for many different occasions & events keeps us enthused and pushes us harder to try new creations and presentations. The look on our client's face’s as they walk in & see the full effects of our displays gives us a huge buzz at Sue's Kitchen.
In the run-up to Christmas last year we were thrilled to cater for a 70th birthday party. This was for a very special lady who had very specific details of what she expected for this exclusive party which was to take place in the comfort of her own home.
The selection our client had in mind was an extensive one. These requirements included a range of different canapé’s, a variety of luxury filled sandwiches, a host of savoury finger foods, the all-important smoked salmon & caviar. We even had a request of “traditional cheese & onion for one particular guest” along with antipasti platters, Salads, homemade coleslaws. We had a selection of six different cakes and desserts to cater to every different taste for the variety of friends and family she had come to know & love so well over the years. Our client knew exactly what she wanted even down to the good old-fashioned cheese & pineapple on sticks, an old favourite which seems to be having a bit of a revival lately!
Our client wasn’t able to access the internet so we made a home visit and presented the website photos to her. We talked extensively about her requirements and took on board everything she asked for. As the day approached we called to check all was well and to make sure we had everything covered as per requirements.
On the day we transformed the kitchen into an elegant buffet area, starting with canapes moving onto savoury mains and salads, then sweeping into the sweet area where all of the displays glowed in warm candlelight that we had also set up around the room. Then when the event was over, we popped round cleared it all away put everything back to normal and you wouldn’t know anything had even
happened.
